Why Oceano Adventure Exists
Oceano Adventure was born in a very simple way: after spending a large part of my life in the ocean working as a dive instructor, commercial diver, and guide, I realized I wanted to share the sea in a different way.
I came to Mexico drawn by the ocean and the opportunities offered by the Pacific coast. Over time, I discovered Sayulita and the Riviera Nayarit, a place where adventure, exploration, and marine life are still part of everyday life.
After working with different diving operations, I decided to found Oceano Adventure to create the kind of experience I would have wanted to find as a diver: small groups, personalized attention, and a more authentic connection with the ocean.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is simple:
It’s not about taking the largest number of people out to sea.
It’s about creating safe, personal, and memorable experiences.
That’s why we work with small groups, dedicate time to every client, and believe that no one should be left behind because of a lack of support, confidence, or experience.
Every adventure begins long before entering the water. Preparation, safety, attention to detail, and guidance are just as much a part of the experience as the diving itself.
The Pacific Is Our Home
The Mexican Pacific is a different kind of ocean.
It’s not an artificial aquarium or a perfect postcard every day. It is a living, dynamic, and ever-changing environment where every dive is different. From the Marietas Islands and Los Arcos to advanced expeditions such as El Morro and La Corbeteña, each site offers a unique combination of exploration, marine life, and adventure.
Here, we share the ocean as it truly is: authentic, unpredictable, and full of discovery. It is precisely that authenticity that continues to inspire us after so many years at sea.
Meet Sebastian
My name is Sebastián Briones.
I am a dive instructor, commercial diver, and I have dedicated more than 30 years of my life to the ocean.
Throughout my career, I have worked in recreational diving operations, commercial diving projects, and the training of new divers.
I have had the opportunity to explore different parts of the world, yet I still find in the Mexican Pacific the same passion that led me to become a professional diver.
Today, my work is focused on sharing that experience with those who want to discover the ocean for the first time or continue developing their skills as divers.
